HostingPP offers phpWebSite via cPanel

Posted by: anonymous on 03/08/2007 03:24 PM (Read: 3836)

Content management systems are gaining more popularity within webhosting providers. Unfortunately not all of them have the scripts readily available to their customers. Which makes it hard or sometimes impossible to implement them.
We offer easy install and configuration using Fantastico of phpWebSite. It's as easy as clicking a few buttons.

phpWebSite with HostingPP

Hello, we would like to tell everybody interested that phpWebSite is available to our customers free of charge from their cPanel management tool. It's very easy install and a great way to have a high quality website in minutes.

This deal sounds great!

I'm a non-coder that has come to rely upon phpwebsite for my website solutions who recently experienced a nightmare with RegisterFly.com... with their EXTREME poor customer service... I was rescued from this dilema by the customer service personnel at enom.com .

So let's say at this point in time I am extremely "gun shy" about changing to another domain name host... and would like to ask those in the phpwebsite community your experience with the folks that are extending this extreme offer at:
http://www.hosting-pp.com/ ... have you tried this service and are you happy with your experience?

Please post your feedback here.

Thanks,

There are a few issues you should be aware of with Fantastico installs of phpWebSite.

1) Branches will not work. Fantastico deletes the /setup folder which is required by the Branch module when creating new branches

2) Last I checked they were installing an old version of 0.10.2 without the last security patch.

3) They don't install some modules by default - RSSFeeds and the bulletin board module.

Generally, I'd avoid Fantastico installs of phpWebSite. It's not that difficult to do yourself anyway.
